I asked for, and received this tool box and a Christmas present. I have been very pleased so far with just how much this box can hold. I was able to get all of my sockets (1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" from 6-24MM) into the drawers with a slot for each size socket as well as a full set of end-wrenches in the same size range. I also have room to store some basic chemicals like JB Weld, anti-seize and thread-locker in the drawers and I still have about 1/3 of the drawer slots unused. The top has more than enough room to hold the larger wrenches that don't fit in the drawers as well as standard-size hammers, tape measures, screw drivers, pliers, etc...
My only concern to this point is how well the plastic handle on top will hold up to the sheer weight of tools I have put in this box so far. To this point, I would say I have around 30-40lbs of tools in this box and the handle and lid do not distort at all when I carry the box around.
This is definitely a winner for anyone looking to organize their tool collection in a portable box.

Being a woodcarver by avocation I have many knives and small gouges. It's amazing how ones collection of tools grows. When I found I needed a larger tool box to house my most used woodcarving tool, I looked at many others, but kept coming back to this one. As soon as it was shipped and I unpackaged it, I was very pleased with my choice. It doesn't hold all of my tools, but it does hold all of my most used knives and palm tools. Plus it has a large area in the top for more several projects in progress and enough wood to keep me busy for quite a while. The topper is that it is light enough to carry to club meetings and/or carving sessions.
I highly recommend this tool box to anyone who has small to medium sized tools that they need to have with them in their trade or hobby. The quality that Plano is known for is very evident in the construction of this box.

I paint miniatures and use this tool box to help me organize and store the tools, paints, and extra plastic and pewter model pieces. The drawers come with dividers so you can divvy up the space as you see fit. As another review stated, the top 6" portion has slots for dividers, but no dividers were provided for them.

I use this box to hold electrical connectors. I like it because it is weather proof, and made fairly sturdy. I can get two years of use out of each box, and i use it daily.

This box, while almost 21" on the outside has no compartment that will hold an 18" long item! The top compartment is permantly divided into a 12" and 6" space. The 6" space is formed for up to 4 dividers, but no dividers that size were included. (I have a call in to Noble on that issue.) The drawers have an inside dimension of 15". Only one drawer has a small compartment this big. All the others are divided along the 9-3/4" dimension. I intend to use this for my custom fishing rod building equipment and supplies, but I will need to find a way to store my 18" reamers. If I can get the larger dividers for the top, I can cut part of the 'permanent' divider out and make it work. It did come with 17 smaller dividers (in two sizes) to customize the spaces in the drawers. The "Solid Brass" for the latches actually consists of brass wire loops that hook over the plastic latches.
I hope this info helps. Good luck.
