I own this bag after buying an larger Irwin bag. This bag is the right size and sturdy. It holds enough tools to do the jobs I do. I am a plumber and HVAC tech. It holds everything to the job of the day.

This tool bag is almost perfect for HVAC purposes which is why I bought it.
Exterior pockets along this carrier's front are great for your main tools like wire strippers, wire crimpers and tubing cutters while its side pockets are ideal for your nut drivers and wrenches. Back pockets and remaining side pockets also work well for your PVC cutters and ammeter though you may want to store your ammeter inside to use its pockets for other purposes, however, there lies this bag's major flaw: size. Its twenty inches is a bit ridiculous and extremely bothersome in most places unless you have a bug area to put it. Locared inside you will find many pockets for pliers and other desired tools.
An aluminum handle with a soft grip is screwed into this bag to ensure a comfortable grip which is balanced in weight on all sides.
Besides its size, which is light regarding so, Custom LeatherCraft has designed an incredible bag. I would highly recommend getting CLC's "21 Pocket 14 inch Open Top Soft Sided Tool Box" since it is basically a smaller version of this one.

my best carrier system of all the boxes and carts i've used over the years. actually, i've got the 14" version, but the 20"is nearly identical. light/tough; carrier handle easy on the hand; shoulder strap self-orients on swivel hardware, which is very important when you reach for the strap to swing it up on your shoulder: no frustrations with twisted straps! it would be 5 star if: handle folded over for enhanced access; shoulder pad was round and same type foam as handle pad; grey or other light color inside for better visibility; maybe a pouch sized/oriented just for easy/frequent access for a small cordless drill. clc are you paying attention? thanks!

I'm a General Contractor who personally still does most of the trades on each project. I have a Utility truck loaded up with all of the power tools, but I also use use an assortment of tool bags and boxes to organize the many hand tools and parts that I bring into a house for the various phases of a remodel.
Right now, I am using this 1579 for an Electrical bag. It is big, but it holds almost all of my electrical tools along with many of the small cylindrical containers filled with small electrical parts.
I'm getting ready to set up another one with a large assortment of carpentry hand tools and parts that I use for most remodeling tasks. I would set up another for plumbing stuff, but right now I'm happy with a Klien bucket organizer for that.
I have a lot of tool boxes and bags that I have accumulated over the years (including a Veto XL and a Veto OT XXL), but if I could only keep one, it would be this 1579.
P.S. I love the Veto bags for their quality, but I really prefer the layout of the CLC 1579 much, much more. I wish that Veto would copy the layout of the CLC or that CLC would come out with an "Extreme" version of the 1579 - but then it would be as heavy as the Veto bags.

I bought the CLC bucket organizer at the same time. So far I've taken a liking to the bucket. I was a little surprised that this had a somewhat soft bottom, which tends to make heavy items slip under the adjustable partition. I'm sure in time I will find a use for it.
