 "Dust protection made easy" 2010-04-14
By G. Christy (New Kensington, PA, US)
I use this for creating a work space separate from the rest of the home. I'm a remodeler and customers love the fact that dust is contained within the work space. It's easy to set up - about 10 minutes and fits in the back of my pickup. The only thing you need to be careful of is when taking it down. The dust collects on the inside of the plastic sheeting due to static and if you're not careful, all that preparation goes out the window when the dust flies off and goes into the rest of the home. I've solved that problem with a little 1/2 gallon mist sprayer. Just mist the inside of the plastic just before you take it down and the dust stays put. I use this all the time. It makes cleanup much easier for dusty jobs like drywall or plaster.

Save your money! this is not worth the cost 1 does not hold tight enough to hold negative air in a containment area. your better off tapping walls. 2 will not work if ceiling has Crown molding designed for strait walls only

 "Good product" 2010-04-26
By R. Kelly (Massachusetts)
FatMaX is good product for carrying around small parts. This unit is large and deep. I use it for video connectors. After buying it I found it to be not as durable as I thought from the description but still well made. The bins are modular but if you remove one or two it causes all the rest to slide around in the case. You can't lock the bins in place. Still a good addition to your gear.

 "Solid Product" 2010-01-23
By Reality Check (Albuquerque, NM United States)
Solidly built, and does the job of organizing. However, the stick-on product label in front is too big, and after a lot of work trying to wash it off with special chemicals, there is still residue that partially obscures the box contents. Stanley essentially ships a good product, but inherently damaged.

"Great mid sized parts or lots of smaller ones" 2009-05-28
By G. Robinson (CO)
This case is like the Stanley Consumer Storage 014725R 25 Removable Compartment Professional Organizer as it is a box of boxes. This is a superior design to the fixed or variable compartments with dividers as I frequently use a lot of the same part or a couple of parts and I can remove the boxes I need and put them on the work bench without taking up tons of room.

This is a large sturdy case with lots of capacity. The description says it has 3 sizes of compartments, IT HAS TWO SIZES! There are two large 6 3/8x 4 1/4 and 12 smaller 4 1/2x 3 1/8 all are 3 1/2 deep.

The handle is aluminum as are the catches which are quite stiff. I had to grind off a little of the plastic case so I could work the catches.

The one real annoyance is a plastic logo "FAT MAX" on the front. When I took it on site one of the guys is Max and yes he is fat so he acted offended and everyone had a good time ribbing me and him.

The compartments are large enough that you could label them if needed. No weight capacity is given but I suspect it exceeds what most of us can carry at all comfortably.

 "Lots of portable storage!" 2009-05-25
By Samurai Dave (Ventura, CA)
When working on a project I am constantly making trips from my workbench of cubby-hole drawers searching for the right part. It is much faster and convenient to take the parts selection to the project. This storage unit does just that. I have several, each one dedicated to specific parts, such as wood screws. That way I know I'll have the right part, and plenty of them. The clear top lets you see everything at one glance. The movable containers allows you to customize the interior, yet parts stay put while being transported. They stack nicely, and look professional.

They have become expecially handy since I am doing more projects for family members at their homes, and having my entire selection of parts or fasteners with me significantly reduces trips back to my house or to the store.

Very nice. It is too bad Stanley has decided to discontinue making this line. It seems like most containers now are thin flimsy plastic, this one will definetly stand the test of time

 "Rugged and thick material" 2010-04-26
By A. Spartana
Great quality tool roll. The canvas is very thick and the stitching is sturdy. The ties need some breaking in in order to hold a knot properly, but I think I'm just gonna have the lady sew on some velcro straps in place of them for convenience.

It would be 5 stars if it weren't for the ties, and the fact that it was made in Taiwan.

"this is the packaging my wrenches should have came in!" 2010-03-07
By Biederstadt Household
when I was a kid my dad had a set of nice wrenches in a roll up wrap like this. He used to get so angry when one would get misplaced, but now I understand.

As a tech I buy a lot of tools from snap-on and it really takes a tough, thoughtful product to catch my eye. The arsenal wrench wrap is just that. The big tool makers need to hire arsenal to outfit their stuff properly.

First experiences. There is a tag on it, like the tag in your shirt that says the size. My first instinct was to remove that tag because hey, I hate tags. I could not tear it off- I tried twice. If the tag is that strong imagine the actual canvas!

I've got a set of snapon metric long handle gear wrenches I paid an arm and a leg for. When I got them they came in a disposable plastic tray. So I take a 400 dollar set of tools and lay them in the tool box, which is fine. But what happens when I need to actually use them? Do I grab them all like a cave man and sift through them to find what I need?

Someone mentioned the color being less than ideal for working on cars or whatever. I disagree. This way I can tell if it is really soiled and wash it. If it was black or dark it would just get dirty and stay dirty. I'm sure mine will get dirty, I didn't buy it to wear to sunday dinner.

The set I bought this for goes 10mm-19mm so I have 4 open small slots, I can live with that. It houses the large gear wrenches perfectly, and I mean that. They are firmly held in place yet easy to remove, and with the snapon long handle set all of the size markings end up above the pocket, no need to remove to read the sizes. Very pleased.

I was worried because the listed dimensions said 10"- the largest pocket is well longer than that. More like 14 inches or so.

All in all I would recommend this to anyone who cares for their tools, no matter what kind they are. An organized 10 dollar wrench set is more useful to me than an expensive set loose in a drawer.

"Very durable tool wrap. Gets dirty easily." 2010-02-06
By thenightfly (usa)
I like the strength of the product, but the color doesn't work well for tools that actually get used. I suppose gray would have been better, but what the heck, I really don't care how it looks. It holds the tools exactly as it should, and that's what I bought it for. I recommend it for any type of open end, box or ratcheting wrenches.

 "HEAVY Duty!" 2009-11-11
By J. Janssen (San Diego, CA USA)
It's hard to justify $20 for a cotton tool roll, but these might come close. Extremely heavy duty (so much so I'd recommend throwing them in the washing machine before first use just to wash the stiffener out) material. Well sewn, these should last longer than your wrenches. I got two, one for SAE and one for Metric. Like I said, expensive, but if you've got good tools, cloth rolls are always superior to the useless packaged containers that come with sets. And if you've got loose wrenches these are a must.

 "Rugged & Well-Made" 2009-04-15
By Joseph P. Brennan (Fort Wayne, IN, United States)
I suppose it's hard to really mess up a tool roll: all you need is a super-sturdy material, heavy-duty thread, and proper sewing --- and this product has all the ingredients. Now when I need a wrench (spanner, for you UK-shoppers) I don't have to go rummaging around the bottom of my toolbox: I simply lay out the roll and select the appropriate size. It's more compact that the plastic organizer that came with the wrenches, and easier to retrieve tools from. Great product!

I use this bag to house my Dewalt D51822 Clipped Head Framing nailer. Others have complained about how their nailers fit in this bag, but my Dewalt fits great with a little room to spare. The material is strong and does not seem like it will rip, tear, or fray easily. The zippers and other hardware ar extremely tough and will probably last a life time. The bottom of the bag is semi-rigid and offers extra protection when it is placed on the ground.

Well made and is as advertized. Tight fit for my Milwaukee 7100-20 Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer. I had to put it in the bag upside down with the Exhaust deflector down and the Workpiece contact up. Keep the end covered to keep the toe-nail claw from tearing the bag.

"My OCD drools for more of these." 2009-06-06
By Rufus A. Partlow III (PHILADELPHIA, PA United States)
This is a great little case. It comes with a top and bottom section that can be opened independently from each other. Both sections are divide into rows about 2" wide (though the bottom section has a large part to the right that's about 1/3 of the case but can be divided into 2-4 smaller sections). It comes with a sheet of small orange and clear dividers that you can use to further compartmentalize the case. You can write on this with a permanent marker for further organizing reasons and to keep multiple cases clearly labeled. It's made of that impact resistance ABS plastic, so I imagine it would be excellent for the kids to carry around various drawing/coloring supplies and other odds and ends. The little black things you see on the corners in the photos are actually "locks" that hold the case closed tightly (even on the bumpiest of journeys) and the 14.5"x11.75" lid makes for a convenient portable desk or drawing surface.

When I received this case I spent 3 hours sorting my legos into it (Lego= the ultimate versatile/reusable tool in sculpting/mold making/casting process). I'm thinking of buying another for sketching/cartooning supplies and possible one each for other some other creative interests.

 "Great organizer!" 2009-12-05
By Nancy G. (Olympia, WA)
We bought two of these to help organize wound care supplies in our treatment rooms. The pros are that everything is visible and because of the square corners and dividers, easy to load with supplies. The only con is that the drawer tends to stick (in both models). We solved our only con by not totally closing the drawer.

All in all, everyone really likes the organizer(s). They've made that part of our work easier.

"Helpful on a daily basis" 2009-08-24
By P. Travis (Montana)
I bought this about a year ago, and now have bungee balls on all my nailers, staplers, and saws. The hook side is solid and holds firmly to my belt, and the round plastic bit keeps the weight of the tool from digging into my thigh quite well. None of the dozen or so bungees I employ have broken, and they where I put them without slipping or turning on the tool. The ladder hook, however, did break and should be redesigned.\

I do have a few comments to address some of the complaints other reviews have made:

Some say having the bungee on a tool takes up too much space on the handle or makes using the tool uncomfortable, but I've been able to spot them well, usually just under where the bottom of your palm would grip.

I've heard complaints that the tool slaps against or digs into a leg. Much of this can be remedied by adjusting the bungee placement - an adjustment that is not possible with a hook.

It is true that if one jumps or runs with a tool in the holder, it can bounce out. This is not a shortcoming for several reasons:

1. One should not run or jump when using power tools.

2. This is great for holding tools while working on a ladder. Again, one should already be employing deliberate movements.

3. The holder is great for keeping a tool at hand while placing material, as in sheeting a wall.

Plan ahead and set out your tools where you need them, and you won't have to walk across the jobsite with a stapler enthusiastically greeting you in a personal area.

 "DIYers Delight" 2007-05-23
By Justin G. Cramer (Chicago, IL USA)
Having first seen this product used by the installer for my garage door I was intrigued. He explained to me that it worked well for the amount of abuse he gave his tools. Having recently procured one myself, to aid me in keeping my tools on me as I remodel my basement and garage I must say I am delighted with this tool. It Fits every tool I have. I can put up to four of them on my work belt and carry every tool I need for a job at the top of a ladder. (I do not like heights so the fewer trips up a ladder the better).

As for the complaints about large tools, please not that on the manufacuters web site they say that Bigg Lugg 2 is rated for tools under 10 lbs.

Bottom line; I like this product so much not only will I be getting more of them for myself I will be giving them as presents to my friends.

 "It's OK....but" 2005-12-21
By A. F. Sullivan (Newport, RI)
The idea seems alright but the tool, especially a heavier tool like a drill, bounces in the bungee when you walk. The plastic belt clip also feels like it digs into your waist. The big lug hook is better because you don't have to search for the holder (especially while wearing a coat) like with this one although the hook is a pain sometimes because it tends to catch on things when it is empty. The big lug 2 obviously does not have this problem.

All in all, it's ok but the bouncy tool thing is the worst part of it.

 "DO NOT BUY" 2005-11-10

Unless you want broken tools do not buy this item. The clip will not stay on your belt, the bungee balls will not stay in the clip, and all three straps I received broke within 2 weeks after purchase. The only satisfaction this product gave me was when I smashed it into a thousand pieces with my hammer after my drill fell out of it for the last time.

"Very good but the Amazon prices are inflated" 2009-09-23
By PB (Pennsylvania)
I bought this toolbox at Lowe's for under $10. They have the Stanley toolbox line, at much better prices than any of the merchants on Amazon. I find the listing at $39.31, "on sale" for $11 plus $10 for shipping, especially amusing. This will be the big stumbling block for Amazon becoming the "online Walmart"--inflated prices and artificial "sales." When you factor in the shipping and the fact that you can't see the item until it is at your home and then you have to pay a "restock" fee and/or return shipping if you don't like it, I think I will stick to the book section.

 "An OK toolbox" 2008-09-10
By Eugene Domingo (Laurel, MD)
First off, for a 19 inch toolbox, it does store a lot of tools. The one problem I have with it is that top of the toolbox has small compartments with a yellow lid. I was hoping for a larger compartment, such as large as covering the whole top and with clear plastic but it only has 2 small compartments and the lids are not see through.

The latches are very nice and sturdy but the plastic all around is bendable so you may have to finagle it a bit if you stuff it with a lot of tools and have to lock it down.

A decent toolbox and worth the price. I wouldn't spend more than $20 on one of these though.
